Hotel Sercotel Blue Coruña
Rúa Juana de Vega, 7,
15004 A Coruña, Spain
Visited: June 2018
What I liked…
- Location close to downtown area.
- Lots of pillows in the room to mix and match without having to look for a pillow menu.
- Bathroom was large and spacious.
- Self-parking was a nearby public lot and the entrance was located just outside the hotel entrance.
- We weren't sure if it was only for that night, but the hotel was offering free mixed drinks in their lobby bar for guests from 4:30pm to 9:30pm (not beer or wine though).
- Twin beds pushed together seemed odd at first, but we found them set up like this often on our trip...and learned to like them for a good night's sleep. 🙂
What I didn’t like so much…
- The room itself is smaller than other 4-star hotels in Spain.
- No storage space or counter space in the bathrom
- Hand soaps were OK but there wasn't any regular shampoo or similar products like in other hotels.
- The hotel is located on a one-way street so finding a place to park to check in and then getting in and out of the
We were only staying for the one night en route to the west coast but enjoyed the atmosphere in downtown A Coruña. We tried plenty of sidra (Spanish cider), shared a cheese plate and a couple of pintxos and had a great evening on a patio people watching and talking about our trip. I don't think we saw any other hotel that was close by all the action...so I would just take my notes above and book this hotel with confidence.
