What I liked…
- The location was terrific. Walking distance to shopping, cafes, museums, galleries, park areas and the waterfront.
- The waterfront area of Santander reminded us of Sydney, Australia.
- Bathroom was large and had a double sink.
- Robes and slippers
- Walk-in style closet with plenty of shelves and a sliding door to close it off from the living area.
- easy-to-use in-room safe
- decor seems fairly new
- the windows opened just enough for a good breeze into the room (even though we were several floors up)
- a short walk to the public parking lot (see below for onsite parking notes)
What I didn’t like so much…
- Two TVs in the room (one on the bedroom side and the other near the sofa). Only one TV worked and the other only had a handful of base channels and I couldn't find one international one with programming in English.
- The onsite self-parking was below the hotel, but was at capacity when we arrived. We were told that we should have called to reserve one in advance. (I wish we would have known this beforehand...)
It was a windy couple of days in Santander during our stay - especially near the water - but the room was so spacious and there were so many things to see and do downtown, I can easily see us returning for a few more days in the near future.
