What I liked…

  • It is sleek! From the time you walk in the main entrance, you see cool colours, subtle textures and a touch of sheen to add a bit of sparkle.
  • Each floor has self-serve water stations and wall art that features crisp, fresh green apples for guests to grab to or from their hotel room.
  • img_3455Check-in service is top notch (read: quick and efficient) ! From the time we put the car in park at the Valet drop-off to the time we were at the elevator to go to our room was only about 7 minutes. It was a weekday late afternoon (prime check-in time) so that was impressive!
  • The mini bar and coffee service are minimal, built-in and take up little space.
  • The room is spacious and comfortable.
  • Like the Alt Hotels, their showers are fully equipped with extra-large dispensers of high-end toiletries. No need to pack my back-up conditioner bottle!
  • img_3452Easy-to-access location - a 2 minute drive from Lakeshore and once you are parked, the hotel is attached to the Maple Leaf Centre with a grocery store, other shops and amenities, eleven restaurant and of course, the ACC next door.
  • Central downtown location. We easily walked home from a dinner on Front Street - which is where we spend many evenings while visiting Toronto - and since you know how much I love to eat, an evening walk is ALWAYS a good idea. 😉

What I didn’t like so much…

  • Maybe it was because it was mid-week, but I expected their lobby bar to be a little busier. Perhaps it is because it is attached the popular eleven restaurant next door?
  • The pillows and bed were too soft for our liking and the mattress was a little sunk in the centre so we were always rolling inward.
  • With all its luxurious features, I am still surprised that only 2 bath towels are stocked in a room for double occupancy. Maybe one more to spoil a girl?

I took many photos for my one-night stay here and was seriously looking for something to critique, but overall I was just too pleased with my stay.

Here are a few other photos...

If you stayed here, let me know your thoughts!
